     What is an Early Adopter? - An Early Adopter is a person who wants to embrace the new technology (Google Apps) faster than anybody else. The ideal candidate for Google Early Adopter will be the one who is interested in learning new technologies and is open to finding solutions of unseen problems on his own. GlobalLogic IT will, of course, be available to help you if you experience any problems.

     We are opening up the nominations for “Google Early Adopters”. By nominating yourself as a Google Early Adopter, you will get an opportunity to move to Google Apps during the weekend of 17-18th May (along with all Support Departments globally).

     All Google Early Adopters will be entitled to participate in a raffle and win an Apple iPad2. The management decision will be final and binding in case of any dispute. In order to nominate yourself as one, send an email to GoogleApps - CoreTeam @ globallogic . com with the subject “I want to be Google Early Adopter”

     User who has nominated himself as a Google Guide, automatically becomes a Google Early Adopter.

     The Support Departments, who were initially scheduled to move to Google on May 17th, will also be part of the raffle if moved on or before May 17-18, 2011. If you are unable to migrate for any reason on or before this date after nominating yourself as an Early Adopter, you can opt out by writing an email to GoogleApps - CoreTeam @ globallogic . com with the subject “I want to delay my migration” and in that case you will be migrated as per the below schedule.

     Nominating for Google Early Adopters, Attending End-user training and submitting Training Feedback form before May 17, 2011 is a must to be part of the raffle

     Last date for Google Early Adopter Nomination is May 5, 2011.

 

2. Google Guide

 

     What is a Google Guide? - A Google Guide is a person who not only is keen in using the new technology himself, but also supports his colleagues by moving to Google Apps faster. He answers questions, guides the teammates and educates them in how to use the new tools.

     Google Guide contest is additional to Google Early Adopters giving you another opportunity to win a 2nd Apple iPad2.

     All Google Early Adopters can volunteer to become Google Guides

     All Google Guides will get a Google Guide Certificate for guiding, helping and supporting other Globytes in moving to Google Apps

     In addition to this, Google Guide will be entitled to participate in a contest to win an Apple iPad2 by guiding, helping and supporting other Globytes in moving to Google Apps

     Selection of winners will be done on the basis of a survey by all GlobalLogic Google users giving votes to various Google Guides based on the support provided

     Google Guide with the highest vote will be the winner

     In case of a tie, a raffle will be done among the top Google Guides to decide the winner. The management decision will be final and binding in case of any dispute.

     IT team can not take part in this as they will be running a separate IT department contest

     Last date for Google Guide Nominations has been extended to May 5, 2011.
